Transportation

Taxes help to build, maintain and ensure the safety of our roads—something we count on every day. Here are examples of the actual cost of some services:

  • $5.4 billion was invested from 2020 to 2022 to maintain and upgrade Québec’s road, shipping, rail and airport networks.See note 1
  • Widening and repairing Highway 73 (Henri-IV) in Québec City will cost about $291.2 million, with the Québec government contributing $162.6 million.See note 2
